This two-day experience offers a closer look at Baptist involvement in and reaction to the Civil War — as well how the war’s legacy continues to impact American society a century and a half later. The setting, rich in Civil War history, will enhance the learning experience.

TOUR OF CIVIL WAR SITES
Chickamauga & Chattanooga National Military Park is the oldest and largest Civil War park. Historians will share perspectives on the war during visits to Lookout Mountain (site of the “Battle Above the Clouds” and Point Park) and the Chickamauga Battlefield.
8:15 AM – Meet at First Baptist Church of Chattanooga to begin tour
9:00 AM – Tour Chickamauga Battlefield
12:15 PM – Lunch
2:00 PM – Tour Cravens House, Point Park on Lookout Mountain
3:30 PM – Tour/event ends at First Baptist Church
REGISTRATION FEE of $45 per person includes all programming, dinner and tours.
