Deep Faith: invitation to a deeply rooted life
by Dennis R. Atwood
While most followers of Jesus know that we should be engaged in daily prayer, Scripture reading, worship, fellowship, and ministry, the reality is we often aren’t. Life gets in the way. Perhaps we get overwhelmed by the process, or we simply don’t see the value in spiritual growth. As a result, church seems shallow and our faith is weak and unattractive to the world. This book is an attempt to introduce – or reintroduce – ordinary Christians to the core issues vital to personal and corporate spiritual formation. It is for those of us who need a framework, a starting point, or a refresher for engaging in a more intentional and deeper faith. We’ve all been through times of spiritual drought, doubt, busyness, and crisis. The root issue for folks like us is: Do I really want to go deeper in my faith – or not?
